Use of Micro irrigation system for high value crops is very common in Indian Agriculture. But Mr. Mahadev Vibhute a farmer of Osmanabad district in Maharashtra having 80 acre land with very less water, has proved that short duration cereals like “Jawar “(Sorghum bicolor), also can be grown with very less available water .
This same experiment can be used for other important cereals. It is one of the way to become self sufficient in cereals, pulse crops & in oil seeds crops.
